Four Greek city-states — Athens, Sparta, Corinth, and Thebes — compete for dominance across the Aegean in the first phase of the Peloponnesian War (431–421 BC). Each has its own strengths — Athens' fleets, Sparta's army, Corinth's economy, Thebes' striking power — yet none is locked into a single path. Scoring happens in three categories — city-states you control, coins you collect, and mints of your own — each faction weighting them differently. Wealth comes from trade along the routes you establish; power from territorial control and combat. Coin scoring uses a hidden, simultaneous fist commit — everyone opens at once, and no one knows in advance how much the others will stake. Two modes: a competitive Sandbox and an event-driven Campaign.
