Can't Win!
Bid your tricks — then choose which cards you can't win with.
Can't Win! is a bidding trick-taking game with a devilish twist. At the start of every round, you look at your hand and predict exactly how many tricks you will take — and then you choose your own "Can't Win" rule: a constraint that decides which cards cannot win a trick for you this round.
That choice is a double-edged sword. Lock away the right cards and your hand becomes easy to control; pick wrong and a perfectly planned bid falls apart. The core is instantly familiar to any trick-taking fan — must-follow, trumps, 48 cards — but the constraint turns every hand into a fresh puzzle of hand-reading and self-restraint. You score for the tricks you win and for hitting your bid, and at the end of the game the two totals are multiplied, so neither can be neglected. A beginner variant with support tokens makes the first game easy to learn.
Designed by Taiki Shinzawa (luz, Maskmen), one of Japan's most inventive trick-taking designers, and illustrated in charming 16-bit dungeon-crawl pixel art by Sai Beppu (Nokosu Dice, Ghost Lift). The new title from Engames, publisher of Nokosu Dice and Ghost Lift.
