CARU-UTA: English Edition

Play any song you like. Listen. When you hear a word being sung, grab the card. Most cards wins.

That is the whole rule, so strangers can start playing thirty seconds after sitting down, and every song makes a new game. Six Moment cards score on things you hear rather than words, such as a handclap or a solo, so players who do not catch every lyric still compete on equal footing. Ten Mixtape cards add variants that turn the speed contest into a game of endurance.

CARU-UTA has been played in Japan since 2016. This is its first English edition, newly authored for English rather than translated. Bring your own playlist and try it at the stand.
