Grey Eminence: Heart of Europe is a 1-5 player historical grand-strategy board game of politics, conflict, and betrayal in the Holy Roman Empire of 1378. Its core gameplay combines deckbuilding, worker placement, and area control.
Grey Eminence features a unique five-suit card system representing Diplomacy, Military, Intrigue, Religion, and Development. Each suit has its own visible card back, letting you read your rivals’ intentions without knowing exactly what they hold. Shape your deck around your chosen strategy, dispatch emissaries across the Empire, raise armies, construct buildings, claim provinces, and exploit the shifting balance between political influence and military force.
Each player leads one of eight asymmetric medieval powers - Austria, Bohemia, Brandenburg, Burgundy, Holland, Milan, the Palatinate of the Rhine, or Saxony - each with its own strengths and strategic possibilities, competing to become the dominant force at the heart of Europe.
