Welcome to Grinivil, a modern, eco-conscious town that all players develop together—while competing to become its most successful developer.

Acquire land, expand roads, plant trees, trade concrete, wood and steel on a changing market, and construct homes, businesses and public buildings. A building may be completed floor by floor by different players, so cooperation can be profitable—but every shared project may also create an opportunity for a rival. Fulfill the visible and hidden desires of Residents, sell them suitable homes and shape a town they would truly want to live in.

At the heart of the game is the modular Time Action Ring. Every action costs time, each player sets their own pace, and money can even be used to act faster. Variable action-tile setups create a different strategic landscape in every game.

GRINIVIL is a highly interactive economic strategy game with a sandbox-style freedom and many viable paths to victory: construction, real estate, infrastructure, resource trading, fulfilling Residents’ needs or keeping the town green. A final Sudden-death Round rewards timing, preparation and careful observation of your opponents.

Despite its short time on the market and the limited number of copies in circulation, GRINIVIL has already received highly positive feedback from players, as well as the prestigious Sax Serenade Keeper award from Game Boy Geek.

GRINIVIL is a language-independent game; printed rulebooks are available in English, German and French.

SPIEL Essen 2026 marks GRINIVIL’s first presentation to the general public following its limited crowdfunding release. Early players have particularly praised its interaction, originality and distinctive time-action system.
