Mission Zelle - Proteine an die richtige Stelle

Cells are constantly producing proteins – but not every protein follows the same pathway or is needed in the same place. In MISSION ZELLE, you control three different production pathways through the cell and try to guide your proteins from the DNA to their respective destinations.

To do so, you collect matching sets of cards, play biological processes in the correct sequence, and move your pieces through the nucleus, ribosomes, rough endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, and other parts of the cell. Having the right card is not enough: you must also describe the process correctly before your piece can move on. ATP markers additionally show that certain cellular processes require energy.

MISSION ZELLE combines tactical set collection with active use of biological terminology, turning protein biosynthesis, cell compartmentalization, and intracellular transport into one interconnected playable system.
